Well I didn't want to say back in the nineties even though that's when I read them. And I think you should go back and rethink that story, assuming my opinion matters at all, you shouldn't allow someone else's bad writing and ruin your enjoyment of something just because that story is considered canon. Here's the thing whwn it comes to canon vs. non canon - all fanfiction is AU by definition, therefore you as the fanfic writer can decide for yourself what is or is not part of your version. So you hate the Xena finale, which by the way I agree with you it sucked royally not so much because it was badly written or acted it wasn't but because it was just a bad idea period, then in your universe it didn't happen at all and the seies ended before that ill conceived thing was ever aired. Personally I have found that in most cases the fanfiction surpasses most of what was presented by the original creators, for example I have read so truly extarordinary Buffy stories that are easily better than anything that was presented by Whedon and company for most of seasons 6 and 7 to name but one. In any case I am very happy to know that you wrote three of my favorite Xena stories of all time and are continuing to add to that list with your DWP stories.
